BUYER GUIDE
Turn a printed prototype into a useful decision
Write an acceptance question before ordering the next iteration.
PROJECT NOTES
Begin with a specific question.
Appearance models, assembly trials and functional components ask different things of a printing process. Define loads, surface expectations, temperature and the downstream work before choosing resin, polymer powder or metal.
PROJECT NOTES
The information that supports a useful review.
Use & environment: Describe the functional purpose, load, temperature and exposure conditions. Geometry & size: Share a clean 3D model, overall dimensions and features that must be preserved. Material & process: Identify candidate materials and any required qualification evidence. Post-processing & validation: Plan supports, cleaning, finishing, inspection and fit tests.
PROJECT NOTES
Agree on how to evaluate the result.
A useful sample review connects the drawing or model with the intended application. Document the revision, identify the features that determine fit or function, and agree on the method used to inspect them. Visual approval alone cannot establish mechanical performance. Separate mandatory requirements from preferences. Where the selected process may change an edge, surface or interface, ask for a clear explanation and a sample before committing to a repeat order.
PROJECT NOTES
Turn feedback into the next revision.
A metal additive concept for geometries that benefit from internal features or lightweight structures. Printing, heat treatment, support removal and machining belong in the same plan. Keep an ordered list of findings: the feature, expected result, observation and proposed change. Confirm that any material or process substitution is reviewed before the next sample is made.
